My 20 hour famine

I did a 20 hour famine without furniture. The challenges were having to sleep on the ground and eat on the ground. The upside was I got to raise money for the people who need it more than we probably do. At this time they were raising money for kids in Syria.

  1. Kia ora Maia, this is Kieryn from the Summer Learning Journey.
Thank you for participating in the Summer Learning Journey and creating this blog post about the forty-hour famine!
It is great to hear how you have already participated in the famine, and I was excited to learn about how you went 20 hours without furniture.
I did the forty-hour famine when I was younger, and my sister and I also went without furniture. We camped out in our cubby house the whole time and although it was hard, we had lots of different things to distract us like watching movies and playing games with our friends.
What kinds of things did you do to distract yourself?
It is such a great feeling knowing you are helping others, and I bet you were extremely proud of yourself for participating in the 20-hour famine and raising money for the kids in Syria.
Did you do this challenge alone, or did you have a family member or friend do it with you?
If you were to do the 20-hour famine again, would you do it without furniture or would you choose something else?
    Nga mihi
