Why Do People Like Bubble Wrap So Much

My summary on my story from Wonderopolis:
Why Do People Like Bubble Wrap So Much.

People say that they are more alert than before after popping bubble wrap. It is also scientifically proven that fidgeting can help with stress just like popping bubble wrap. Your brain is wired to enjoy bubble wrap. Popping bubble wrap can make your muscles less tense. It also reduces stress and anxiety. The company that created bubble wrap recently discovered a bubble wrap that does not pop. It is called iBubble wrap. This came out in 2015. IBubble wrap is mainly used for shipping packages and protecting them when you have to move. Dont worry the pop able bubble wrap is still on the market. You can use bubble wrap for multiple things you can use it on your windshield to stop it from getting frosty

  1. Hi Maia,
I love popping bubble wrap! Micki and I fight over who gets to pop it. That sounds like an interesting Wonderopolis article. I didn't know they had done studies about why people like it. I'm not sure I'd like the non-pop-able one though. How frustrating!
I've seen bubble wrap used in baking too. You can melt chocolate and pour it onto it and let it set then it comes off with bubble dents all over the side. I'm sure you would be able to come up with heaps more things to do with bubble wrap.

  2. Hello Maia,
Bubble warp is so much fun and like Mrs Hobbs my daughter and I fight over who gets to pop it too. I didn't know that it could reduce stress and anxiety but it makes sense.
I am not sure why a company would even want to created a non popping bubble wrap, I would be disappointed if I received something that was wrapped that wasn't pop-able!
Interesting blog Maia - well done
