Thank you to my amazing teachers who had helped me to get more confident when starting school.

My First Year At Primary School
When I was five I started going to Belfast school. I started in room 3 I was so scared. after being at school for one whole year I did not cry or get upset when my mum left. When I no longer had to be passed to a teacher so my mum could leave I started to feel proud. I was so proud of myself.

Kia ora Maia, this is Kieryn from the Summer Learning Journey.
ReplyDeleteThank you for participating in the Summer Learning Journey and sharing with us this blog post about a time when you were brave!
Starting school for the first time can be a very nerve-racking experience, and I am so happy that you were able to face your fears and feel proud of yourself at the end.
When I was first starting primary school I felt the exact same way. I used to get extremely upset having to leave my mum for the day, even though I knew that she would be back at 3pm to pick me up.
But one day I didn’t cry when she dropped me off, and I felt so happy and proud of myself for being so brave.
Big changes like starting school can take a while to get used to, but as long as you try your best to be as strong and as brave as possible they definitely gets easier to handle.
You mentioned at the bottom of your post that you are thankful for your teachers who helped you get more confident when starting school. This is such a lovely gesture, and I am sure that your teachers will be grateful to know how much they helped you out.
What kinds of ways did they help you overcome this fear?
It would be awesome if you could reply to this comment and let me know!
