Jessa's Age.

Jessa was born in 7 April 1985 and received the award on 9 July 2010
I think she was 25 days 3 months and 2 days.

How I worked it out

 7 / 4 / 1985
 9 / 7 / 2010
             -----------------
            2 days
           3 months
           25 years

Well done for attempting to work out the age of Dr Jessa Rogers when she won the NAIDOC Youth of the year award!
You correctly worked out the equation, so you should be extremely proud of yourself for getting the answer right!
It would have been great if you had written down each step you took to solve the problem so your viewers could follow along.
    This was my working out-
First I found the difference between 1985 and 2000. It was then easier to add the additional 10 years on top.
    1985 + 15 = 2000
    15 + 10 + 25
The difference between the 7th of April 2010 and the 9th of July 2010 is where this question became a bit trickier to figure out!

    April 7th- May 1st = 23 days
    May 1st- June 1st = 31 days
    June 1st- July 1st= 30 days
    July 1st- July 9th= 9 days
    23 + 31 + 30 + 9= 93 days
I worked out that there were 93 days between these dates, however if you work it out in months rather than days it would be 3 months between the 7th of April 2010, and the 7th of July 2010. You can then just add on the extra 2 days to bring the date upto the 9th of July 2010. That brings the grand total up to 25 years, 3 months and 2 days!

Maths was my favourite subject throughout school, and I always thoroughly enjoyed problems like these!
    Keep up the excellent work!
