Sir Edmund Hillary Interview

For my Summer Learning Journey I had to pretend I had an interview with Sir Edmund Hillary. I have to ask him 5 questions about his life and victory. Ok lets get started.

M:  So Sir Edmund Hillary is it ok for me to ask you a couple of questions.
SEH: Yes of course it is.

M: What was the date you got to the top of Mt Everest?
SEH: Well I got to the top of the mountain on May 29th 1953.

M: Did you have someone with you?
SEH: Yes it was a guy called Tenzing Norgay.

M: Did you ever think you would be the first person to climb Mt Everest?
SEH: No I did not.

M: How does it make you feel to be on the 5 dollar note?
SEH: It makes me feel proud that I achieved something that is very impressive.

Thank you for coming here today Sir Edmund Hillary and that was Maia Collins going live with Sir Edmund Hillary. (SEH)

  1. Hi Maia,

Imagine the satisfaction of achieving such a dream. Do you know how long it took them? Having your face on the $5 note! Pretty cool I say. He and his family must of been so proud.
