1. Teachers - because they help us learn.

2.  House's - because they give us somewhere to live and keep us warm and safe in terrible weather.

3. Policemen - Because they help get rid of bad people and help keep us safe in the car.

4. Firemen - Because they help people evacuate in a fire and they put the fire out.

5. Paramedics - Because if we need drugs of something like that the can give it to us on the way to the hospital.

6. EMT's - Because they can get us to the hospital and if we are injured they can help you stay calm and do as much as they can to help.

Someone I know who was super brave

This girl called Isabelle got pushed off the playground at school and Broke her arm. She then had to go to hospital and have surgery to straighten her arm. She was then put in a cast and not too long ago had it removed. her older sister Madelyn looked out for her and loved to tell her sisters story on what happened.
 Isabelle you are a brave young girl.

SPCA Charity

I chose the SPCA as my Charity because I love animals and these guys help save them.

What does this Charity raise it's money for?
The use this money to by medicines and get stuff like cones to help when injured.

What animals does this charity rescue?
The SPCA rescue lot's of animals from Cat to Squirrels.


These guys also rescue animals stuck in fires or trapped by an earthquake.

Ways we can help these animals are fundraising, donating or maybe even adopt a poor animal if you will care for them.

If I Was In Charge Of The Whole School For One Day

Well first of all the school would be in trouble. Then the juniors and new entrants will get the day off including those teachers. Then I would make them run laps round the school till they can't talk including the teachers. Then it will be year 13 maths and no fun just maths. School will end at 3:00 for the kids the adults on the other hand get ice cream and chocolates. I would then shout all of the teachers KFC and what ever drink they want.

The BFG

2019 Year 7

This year I have achieved lots like had to principles awards and been a leader by watching out for little kids in the playground.                                                       


 I have also achieved wet day monitor which means I go to a class and watch the  kids while the teachers get some food.


This year we also went on camp to Hamner Springs were we went to the hot pools. The food we had was amazing my favourite food would have to be the burgers.


The year 7's and prefects went to leadership day at Spencer park. It  was so much fun we did a range of activity's the most challenging was walking around a rope with others holding on to sides it was all about trust. My favourite on was walking up a slide in socks.


Swimming this year has been great at the start of the year we had swimming sports and now it is all about swim safety. I love to wear life jackets that way I know I will be kept safe in the water and have no chance in drowning if the life jacket fits me.


This year has been great I have made new friends and had an amazing year. Next year I want to try make more friends and not be so shy.

Belfeast

On Tuesday 13th of August we went over to the BCN (Belfast Community Network) for a meal cooked by the staff there.  This week we had nachos and it was served by room 22.  What is belfeast you may ask it is a place we get free food and get more social the reason we do it is because the older adults do it lunch time of Thursday. 

Miss Rogers

Miss Rogers is my teacher. She is a lovely woman and has a big kind heart. She is a beautiful young lady. In percentage she is 112% amazing. Her favourite number is 12, her favourite animal is Elephants and her favourite colour is purple.  She has no kids and is not a fan of babies. She teaches in a senior class and loves to be kind. She encourage's me in my maths, writing, my confidence and believing in me. She is just a wonderful young lady. I am so lucky to be in her class this year and really want to be in her class next year too.

Te Ara Tuhura Logo Competition

   
This is my Te Ara Tuhura logo. I made this design with my friend Damien.
We made it with 3 paths because we can go in 3 directions including to the ocean.
We used the ocean because we are all close to some part of water.
We used blue and green to give it the water look.
We used left the background white so it was still simple.

Argument On if Te Reo Maori should be taught in school.

This is Mine and my friend Carma's argument on if we think Te Reo Maori should be taught in schools.

Hi my name is Maia and I believe that Te Reo Maori should be compulsory.

Hi my name is Carma and I think that Te Reo Maori is a waste of time and in schools it should not be taught. 

Well I think that it should be taught because it is part of NZ language and it is a fun language to be taught.

 Well it doesn't matter if it’s fun because its school but if you want to learn Maori join a kapa haka group and if we start teaching Maori another subject will be knocked out say maths gets knocked out you will never succeed in life

Well you could do Maori twice a week and genius hour once then Inquiry twice it works out like pumpkin in pie. And kapa Haka is a waste of time you miss out on precious learning time.

Well you shouldn’t have to sacrifice precious hours of school just for a stupid language and if we started learning Maori everyone will talk it and then exchange students would not understand a thing

Well if they are from a different country they can learn English then learn Te Reo Maori it is so simple or you just don’t teach them English problem solved.

Well they shouldn’t have to learn a completely new language so ha 

No ha on you because I have better reasons and you can’t expect them to only speak one language their whole life can you.

Belfeast Server

On the 20th of August I went over to belfeast to serve food to room 21. This week it is mac & cheese. It is made with cheese sauce, macaroni elbows, and bacon. It tasted really cheesy. We had to go over at 12:00 and came back at 1:45. I enjoyed it this week because we got to give food to the other classes and got out of school work.

Book Week 2019

  It was really cool and fun and I loved how creative we were as a class.

I think it went great and it was really fun. I can't wait for the next book week.
We also had a book fair that had lots of books bought in the first few days that we had to get a restock.
My class themed our display on Roald Dahl. The library had a theme of dinosaurs.

For the library display my class made dinosaur fossils from salt dough.
All around the school there were many of different themes like the jungle book.
One day there was a grandparent t-rex afternoon I made some cookies for the grandparent's.
One night there was a bedtime story evening for years 1-4.
